The Sexy Grammarian’s Intern

The Sexy Grammarian has an intern!

Raeme Miccio Gaviño, a high school senior in San Francisco, has been working with The Sexy Grammarian since summer of 2009, and is now an intern with The Sexy Grammarian.

Raeme grew up in the Bay Area and moved to New York City at the age of fourteen, where she spent a year of high school at an early college program directed by Bard College. She is on track to finish high school in three years with excess credits while taking AP courses.

Raeme has applied to three Universities of California, Brown University, and Smith College for her undergraduate education. Raeme’s long-term career goals involve working with museums and art; she has yet to find the perfect prospective career.

Raeme has always loved literature and recalls her first experience reading “a chapter book” vividly (it was a Goosebumps horror in the first grade). When she was in fourth grade, Raeme realized her passion for creative writing when her class did a unit on poetry. Since then, Raeme has pursued creative writing as a hobby. She is currently working on her first novel.

Raeme’s interning duties include developing and improving workshops, collaborating on Sexy Grammar lessons for this blog as well as for coaching sessions and workshops, and working on her own writing–both academic and fiction.

Raeme enjoys spending her free time exploring street art, the beach, yoga, and new falafel restaurants.

  1. Welcome, Raeme! Can’t wait to see what the two of you build…the Sexy Grammarian Empire?

  2. Hey, Renata, thanks for the welcome to Raeme. She is definitely an important member of the empire-building team over here.

    And so are you!
