Sexy Birthday Homonyms: eight & ate

I’ve celebrated my 8 years in business this September with daily homonyms, and for the last dance, I offer:
The verb ate is the past tense of to eat, as in:
I ate one grape at a time, trying to entice her.
The noun eight is the written symbol for the cardinal number 8 , as in:
Eight people in the bed got crowded, so we paired off.
